Noreen N. Pallas Orzehoski Fritz, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday evening, July 26, 2012 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Noreen was born November 4, 1924 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Charles and Lucille (Wise) Riley. She was raised in Benton Harbor and attended St. Joseph Catholic Schools. She married the late Richard Fritz in 1980. Noreen raised her six children working as a restaurant waitress and manager.
Mom never knew a stranger and shared what she had with anyone in need or whom she felt had less. Her personality was unforgettable and she never lost her wit and humor her little body just lost the battle. Once you met her and her up beat personality you never forgot her. Through all that life threw her way she never stopped moving forward and would let no adversity stop her from having a good day.
She loved her children and never stopped trying to help them in any way she could. We loved her dearly and will certainly miss her sense of humor and her always looking on the brighter side of things. Hopefully we will take that on with us through the rest of our lives. She is now dancing and playing with those she loved so much, missed and thought of every day and lost way to soon. You will be in our hearts always mom.
Noreen is survived by her six children, Carol (Frank) Small of Stevensville, Roberta Slater of St. Joseph, Jim (Donna) Pallas of Northville, MI, Charles R. Pallas of Benton Harbor, Walter Orzehosi, Jr. of Nashville, TN and Jodie Orzehoski of Gainsville, FL; ten grandchildren;, Jamie (Richard) Hurst, Lisa (Terry) Cobb, Aaron (Heidi) Filippo, Kellie Garcia, Kristin (Paul) Grenon, Timothy (Dawn) Ives, Turi Stevensv, Dakota Christianson, Joshua and Madison Orzehoski; nine great grandchildren, Taylor and Conor Snedeker, Abigal, Audrey and Issac Filippo, Sara (Josh) Erwin, Nick Cobb, Adam Grenon and Hunter Ives; two nieces, Donna (Charles) Lyon and Nancy (John) Luma and a nephew, Fred (Tammy) Ivens.
