Allen J. Marquardt, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away on August 2, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Services celebrating his life will be held 5:00 pm Friday, August 4 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 pm up until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Millburg Cemetery. Memorial donations in Allen's memory may be made to the Marie Yeager Cancer Center or Hanson Hospice Center. Allen was born September 30, 1944 in Benton Harbor to Albert and Eleanor (Schultz) Marquardt.   Allen began his career at New Products as a mold maker where he worked for 22 years and then began farming, butchering, and deer processing. In his later years, he went back to work for Colonial Tool and Die in Baroda.  Allen made many new friends over the years and always had his door open and a cold beer ready. He had a love for country music, his dogs and the Green Bay Packers.

Allen is survived by his sons Jeffrey (Dianna) Marquardt of Watervliet and David (Jessica) Marquardt of Florida, his step-son Garth Current and step-daughter Margaret (Craig) Fitch, his mother Eleanor, a sister Sharon (Richard) Herman, four grandchildren Jimmy (Julie), Jesse, Jeremy and Allen, and extended family Virginia Rogalski, Joanne Marquardt and Evert Bower. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and family.

He is preceded in death by his father Albert and a brother Tom.
