Allen Ott, 73, of Benton Harbor, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services with Military Rites will be held at 1 P.M. Monday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will take place from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Al's honor may be made to the Marie Yeager Cancer Center.

Al was born on August 1, 1949 in Benton Harbor to Raymond and Alvina Ott. Following his high school graduation, Al served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the military police while serving in Panama. Al and Sandy were married in 1996 and were about to celebrate 27 years together. Al had been employed at Bosch for a number of years prior to his retirement in 2009. In his free time, Al enjoyed golfing and gatherings at local restaurants with the Over The Hill Gang. To say Al was an avid University of Michigan fan would be an understatement. The love of his life though, was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Allen is survived by his wife Sandy; his daughter, Kristi (Brandon) Wall of Stevensville; step daughter Amy (Ron) Camire of Villa Park, Ill.; his sister Claudia (David) Stover of Holland, Mich; his brother Steve (Julie) Ott of Flushing, Mich.; two grandchildren, Lexi and Chelsey; and two great grandchildren, Abel and Noah.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alvina Ott, and his step daughter Julie Kiessel.
