Alvin A. Werner, 84 of South Haven, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at his residence.

Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

Alvin was born July 29, 1936 in Hubbardston, Michigan to Albert and Lillian (Bennett) Werner. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force after serving eight years from 1955 to 1963.  Alvin retired from Bosch Braking Systems in 1998 and was formerly employed by Auto Specialties until their closing.  In his free time Alvin loved watching football and truly enjoyed keeping up on his yard work.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Sue whom he married Dec. 23, 1972; six children, Tammy Strauss of Coloma, Kathy Zimmerle of St. Joseph, Frank (Arthur) Beebe of Elkhart, David Werner of Benton Harbor, Sherrie Blackston of South Haven and Jody (Sandy) Beebe of Elkhart.  Also surviving is a sister Wilma Miller of Morley, Mich; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
