Barbara L. Wieser, 94 of Watervliet passed away at home on September 21, 2022.

Cremation has taken place and her remains will be laid to rest at Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. Memorial donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Caring Circle Hospice. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so by selecting the "Guestbook" link on this page.

Barbara was born August 31, 1928 in Kalamazoo to Arthur and Janet (McTavish) McNabb. She was employed by the State of Michigan as a social worker up until her retirement in 1988. When Barbara was younger, she enjoyed working for her dad in his doctor's office and it was something that she loved to continuously talk about. She also enjoyed family get togethers and holidays, gambling at the casino, watching the Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the Price is Right and going to eat at Grand Mere for special occasions.

Barbara is survived by her children Nancy Jane Simmons, Thomas Bauschke and Joyce Wieser; grandchildren Rebecca (Jeff) Ross, Joey Wieser, Matthew (Matthew Levesque) Simmons and Kayla Wieser; and great grandchildren Ash Ross, Jason Ross and Everett Wieser. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her daughter Susan Wieser and a son in law Thomas Simmons.
