Betty Lou Lippert, 92, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, October 16, 2021 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorials in Betty's honor may be made to Caring Circle Hospice.

Betty was born on July 2, 1929 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was one of eight children born to Edward and Grace Yeske. Following her graduation from St. Joseph High School, Betty and Stanley (Stubby) Lippert were wed on December 4, 1948 and they celebrated sixty-five years of marriage prior to Stanley's passing in 2014. The couple owned a fruit farm and Stubby's meat processing business in Benton Harbor where they raised their four children. Betty loved flowers and gardening. She also liked to bake and canned many of the fruits they grew. She and Stanley had a cabin in Baldwin that they built and enjoyed spending time there.

Betty is survived by her three children;  her son Fred Lippert; two daughters, Cindy (Michael) Clark and Christy (Dennis) Taylor, all of Benton Harbor; her brother, Donald (Arletta) Yeske of St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Michael Clark Jr., Shawn (Corrinne) Taylor and Kristin (Hazen) McMeeken; her great grandson Jace McMeeken; and special care givers Sabrina and Chris.

Betty was preceded by her husband Stanley, her daughter Roxanne in 1971, her parents, and six brothers and sisters.
