Betty was born on September 16, 1936, in Rolfe, Iowa to Lyle and Mildred (Ernst) Larson. Growing up, she enjoyed swimming and playing volleyball.  On November 3, 1956, Betty married her husband, Raymond Rigoni then moved to the Chicago area. She loved taking care of her family, playing cards with her friends, as well as arts and crafts. Along with raising children, Betty sold Avon for over five years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, fitting for her favorite color being red, and was a devoted and involved member of her church back in Portland, singing in the choir.  She had a strong faith in God, and it was important to her to share that with her family.  She always said, "Stay close to the Lord."  She most recently was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Betty had a love for all animals, especially her dog Holly and parrot Sunshine.  She enjoyed shopping and decorating for all the holidays, Christmas above all, and really enjoyed all things cooking. She would read cookbooks, magazines, and was creative with food, especially improvising when she saw something she found intriguing.

Betty is survived by her children Marlene (Steve) Romz of Plainfield, IL, Arnie (Wendy) Rigoni of Beaverton, OR, and Eileen (David) Pracz of St. Joseph; her brother Robert (Janice) Larson; her grandchildren Torin Rigoni, Christopher Romz, Brandon (Kathryn) Rigoni and Nicole Rigoni; and great grandchildren Greyson, Luca and Liv Rigoni. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Brenda (Al) Berg, Sherry (Richard) Ellis, John (Alan Nelson) Finney, Melissa (David) Marino, Donna (Roberto) Mosele, John (Janet) Jachna, and Barbara Jachna.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 2011 and her siblings Anna Mae Finney, Donald Larson, Lewis Larson and Doris Larson.
