Carol J. Hill, 74, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 1:00 PM at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation starting one hour prior.  Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. Carol was born February 20, 1942 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Frederick and Dorothy (Guymon) Schmidt.   Carol was employed by Child and Family Services as a home health care personal up until retirement.  She loved crocheting, knitting, cooking, and thoroughly  enjoyed her fashion and jewelry.  She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Carol is survived by her daughter Carla (Ryan) Mortensen of Benton Harbor; one brother Paul Schmidt of Benton Harbor and one sister Mary (Toby) Wutzke of Coloma.  Also surviving are three grandchildren Cade, Taylor, and Tucker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1973 and a son Kenneth Thole.
