Carol Ann Malich, 84 of Benton Harbor passed away on February 19, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorial donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Humane Society. Carol was born April 14, 1941 in Benton Harbor to Harold and Rose Remer. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart of Mary in Sister Lakes and worked for numerous insurance and advertisement agencies, including MetLife and LaSalle. Carol was a member of the Southwest Michigan Car Collectors and the Rod Knockers Car Club and had a love for crafting where she enjoyed stamping and card making and attending craftathons with several friends. Christmas time was a favorite of Carol's, as well as writing poems and letters to friends. Carol had dates that were important to her, that she remembered forever. June 17, 1966 Vern sent her flowers, December 24, 1966 Vern and Carol went shopping for a ring, December 25, 1966 Vern told Mrs. M they were engaged, December 26, 1966 Vern showed Carol the ring and on December 30, 1966 the ring was hers forever! Shortly after, Carol and Vern were married on June 6, 1967.

Carol is survived by her husband Vern and many cousins in Chicago. She was preceded by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
