Caroline L. Jahnke, 91, formerly of Niles, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday,  Dec. 18, 2021 at Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, Dec. 22 ^nd at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorials in Caroline's honor may be made to Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ where she had been a member for many years. Caroline was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on Aug. 2, 1930, the daughter of Daniel and Lois Carney. Several years after high school she and Raymond Jahnke were married. The couple lost their infant son Michael soon after birth. From the point on Caroline focused her love and attention on her husband and family, especially her nieces and nephews. She and Ray loved to travel and took their nieces and nephews on camping trips with them. Caroline also played piano and the accordion in several dance bands.

Caroline is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Millie) Carney Jr. of St. Joseph and Donald (Sharon) Carney of Coloma; and several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 2019, her infant son Michael; her sister Mary Krugler, and her parents.
