Catherine (Greco) Ruggio, 85, of Hartford, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartford United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice At Home. Cathy, one of ten children of Dominick and Rosalie Greco, was born October 2, 1930 in Coloma. She graduated from Coloma High School. Cathy married John Ruggio Jr. in 1952 and the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage. Early on she worked at Mr. Z's and became affectionately known as the "Pie Lady". An excellent cook and baker, Cathy also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. A long time member of the church, she volunteered as a communion steward for over 40 years. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband John, daughter Jill (Kenneth) Weber of Bonita Springs, FL; her son John Ruggio III of Hartford; sisters Mary (Bud) Herman, Pat Ambrose and Rosalie Knapp; a brother Dominick Greco; grandchildren Katherine (William) Rowell, Kasey Weber, Jessica (Brandon) Anderson, and John Ruggio IV; a great grandchild Dominic Anderson and baby girl Anderson due in November. In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Steve and Anthony, and two sisters, Neva Heniser and Josephine Falcone.
