Colleen E. Fischer, 47, of Coloma, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 - 11 a.m. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Colleen's memory will go to their Children's Educational Fund. Donations can also be made directly in the children's name at Honor Credit Union or through the Go Fund Me account at

Colleen was born March 24, 1969 in Watervliet, Michigan to James and Hattie (Smith) Derrick and a graduate of Coloma High School. Colleen and her husband Dave reside in Coloma and have four children. Family was the most important thing in Colleen's life and she was a stay at home mom who loved raising her children. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Colleen loved to laugh and have a good time at whatever she was doing.
Colleen is survived by her husband David Fischer, her son Justin (Krysten) Fischer, ETR2-USN stationed in Bremerton, WA; daughters Emily, Lindsey, and Elissa Fischer of Coloma; her mother Hattie Derrick of Coloma; three sisters Susie Collins of Coloma, Deann (Dennis) Crossno of Knoxville, TN, and Tammy Current of Coloma; and two brothers James (Gwen) Derrick of Emporia, KS and Terry (Kim) Derrick of Coloma. She will be sadly missed by her immediate and extended family including numerous cousins, nieces and, nephews.
Colleen was preceded in death by her father and her sister Dana Derrick.
