Coy G. Drane, 74 of Coloma, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Coloma United Methodist Church with visitation beginning one hour prior at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to either the North Berrien Senior Center or the family. Coy was born July 15, 1947 in Moulton, Alabama to Clarence and Lassie Drane. At age five, the family moved to Michigan. Coy and the former Sally Eltzroth were married on June 18, 1983 and celebrated 38 years together. Coy had been employed at National Copper for 43 years prior to his retirement in 2008. Coy's family was his greatest love in life. He was an outdoor person and enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and woodworking projects. He was also an avid golfer and member of the North Berrien Senior Center .

Coy is survived by his wife Sally; daughters  Tammy (David) Millword of Lawrence, Cynthia Gilman of Florida, Jeri Randall of Stevensville and Renee (Jeff) Borah of St. Joseph; siblings Eddie Drane of Alabama, Doyle (Mary) Drane of Hartford, B.C. (Lois) Drane of Hartford, Wanda (Bill) Morse of Hartford, Bud (Sue) Drane of Edwardsburg, Rick (Patty) Drane of Keeler, Vickie (Tom) Chambers of Arkansas and Allen Drane of Alabama; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Coy was preceded by his parents and in-laws; a sister Mary Ann McNeil, a grandchild Vance; and his favorite companion Marty Robbins.
