Daniel F. Merritt, 92 of Watervliet passed away on March 29, 2025 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial donations in Daniel's memory may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service.

Daniel was born May 3, 1932 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Loyal and Doris (Eastman) Merritt. He and Darlene Warner were married on Sept. 13th, 1952 and had celebrated 72 years of marriage together. Dan had worked for Whirlpool Corporation for over 32 years. He was also a school bus driver for Hartford Schools and a local welder. Daniel loved camping, fishing, hunting and boating and was also on the Sister Lakes Fire Department.

Daniel is survived by his wife Darlene; children Daniel Merritt of Hartford, Belinda (Ed) Trapp of Coloma, Barbara Jones and Christine (Daniel) Pruitt, both of Watervliet; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
