Darlene M. Ertman, 78, of Benton Harbor, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at her residence in the presence of her family.

Funeral services begin 11 a.m. Wednesday at Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Memorials in Darlene's honor may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, Midway Baptist Church or the family.

Darlene was born September 8, 1940 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to George and Violet Ervin. On Sept. 5, 1959 she and Donald Ertman exchanged their wedding vows. The couple had just recently celebrated their 59th year together. Prior to her retirement in 2004, Darlene had worked for fifteen years at E.S. Enterprises in customer service. In her personal time she enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling with Don and simply spending time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her husband Don; four children, Tim (Kim) Ertman of Watervliet, Debra (Ken) Lund of Fenwick, Mich., Karen (Bob) Thomas of East Jordan, Mich., and Steve (JoAnn) Ertman of Benton Harbor; her brother Donald (Mary) Ervin of St. Joseph; grandchildren Shawn (Kelsi) Ertman, Brad Ertman, Lyle (Martina) Lund, Vic (Jenny) Lund, Reinhart (Jill) Lund, Wade Thomas, Blake (Courtney) Ertman and Rick Ertman; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Violet; brothers Ed and Orvil Ervin; and a sister Kathleen Gerring.
