David E. Hampton, 73 of Riverside passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

A service celebrating his life will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 12 at Lake Michigan Beach Community Church; 3481 Ohio Street in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Lakeshore Hagar Cemetery in Hagar Township. Following the burial a luncheon will be provided at New Life Christian Center, 6674 Paw Paw Ave.; Coloma,  MI 49038.  Donations in memory of Dave may be given to the Family.

Dave was born March 1, 1950 in Grant, Michigan to Everett and Bernetta Hampton.  He owned and operated Hampton Log & Mill in Riverside for many many years.  In his free time Dave liked to go fishing and hunting, and treasure hunting with his metal detector, but most of all he truly just loved being out in the woods.

Dave is survived by his wife Valarie, a daughter Jamie (Adam) Ranabargar of Missouri, a sister Mary (Brian) Kurtz of Eau Claire, a brother Mark Hampton of Stevensville, two half brothers, Tim and Danny; and two half sisters, Sandra and Doreen.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, and Blake; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
