Dennis M. Harris, 55 of Coloma passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph surrounded by family.

Services celebrating his life will be held 5:00 pm Monday, July 10 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm up until the time of service.  Cremation will take place following the service.  Memorial donations in Dennis's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Dennis was born November 16, 1961 in Benton Harbor to Richard and Viola (Wheeler) Harris.  He was a mechanic for 32 years at Harris Trucking until their closing in 2006.  Following that he was employed for eight years by Kalin Construction.  In his free time Dennis customized his Big Blue Truck.  He also enjoyed spending time up north hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, camping, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Dennis is survived by his wife Brenda whom he married October 11, 1980, four daughters, Arica (Bryan) Angelo of Watervliet, Christin (George) Smith of Coloma, Kayla (Randy) Wells of Watervliet, and Monica (Dorian Eskridge) Harris of Buchanan.  Also surviving is his father Richard Harris, two brothers Richard (Madeleine) Harris and Donald (Karen) Harris, five grandchildren, Jordyn, Alysse, and Kaitlyn Angelo, Addison Wells, and James Smith, along with several nieces, great nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother Viola and step mother Sheila.
