Dona Kathleen Wolske was born June 7, 1929 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Harry and Elizabeth Geisler. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1947. On Sept. 4, 1948 she married Wilbur William Wolske. Together they raised three children.
Dona had many jobs over the years, starting with G.C. Murphy Co. where she met her husband. Her final job was at the Watervliet Public Library where she enjoyed working for many years.
Dona spent her life actively volunteering with many organizations. She was involved with the Girl Scouts for 22 years. During this time, she was a troop leader for 13 years and was Association Chairperson for three years in the Singing Sands Council. During her time as troop leader, she took a troop to backpack the Appalachian Trail and Picture Rock Trail.
She served on many church committees and taught Sunday school for 30 years. For 4 ½ years she was a volunteer driver for the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center.
Dona is survived by three children, Karen Flesher, David (Amy) Wolske, and Michael (Tami) Wolske; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a special niece and Goddaughter Kathy Barton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur in 1995; her parents; and her sister Marian Barton.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made to Sarett Nature Center or Caring Circle Hospice. Those wishing to share a memory or leave a message for the family may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
