Donald A. Miller, 73, of Watervliet, passed away Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021, at his home following an extended illness.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will begin at noon and the service will follow at 2 p.m. Memorial donations in Don's memory may be made to his family. Don was born Sept. 22, 1947 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Paul and Louise (Lehmann) Miller. He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Don and Donna Gilbert were married on June 25, 1966 and the couple celebrated 54 years together. Over the course of his life, Don had worked at both Kroger and Roger's Vineland Foods. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Don was a truck driver for Monte Packaging for over 20 years. After retirement he enjoyed volunteering at the North Berrien Senior Center delivering meals and driving people to appointments. He enjoyed helping anyone in need. Don also enjoyed mowing the lawn, visiting the casino and fishing. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends and caring for his two fur babies, Molly and Dexter.

Don is survived by his wife Donna; his son Mark (Micheala) Miller of South Haven; his daughter Amber (Joseph) Kelley of Coloma; his sisters, Ruth (Wayne) Hahn of Carmen, Ind., Kay (Fred) Gleason of Peachtree City, Ga., and Mary (Henderson) Hall of Blythwood, S.C.; five grandchildren, Paul Miller, Rachel Kelley, Mathew Kelley, Logan Miller and Mallory Miller; and three great-grandchildren, Kora, Margo and Josiah.

Don was preceded in death by his infant daughter Lisa, his sister Shirley Hinshaw, and his parents.
