Doris I. Griffin, 76, of Coloma passed away peacefully at home on October 25.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 30 at 2:00 P.M. at Red Arrow General Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so by selecting the link provided.

Doris was born on January 11, 1940 in Benton Harbor to Edward and Elizabeth (Wycoff) Smith. She was the manager at Paw Paw Avenue Wash and Dry for 10 years and Rocheforts Yogurt Shop in Bridgman where she worked with family. Doris enjoyed playing bingo at St. Joseph Catholic , Watervliet and the slot machines playing the four clovers or Mayan chief at Four Winds.

Doris is survived by her husband of 57 years James, three daughters Carole Smith of Watervliet, Kathy (Larry) Taylor of Hot Springs, Ark., and Marcell (Ricky) Knighten of Glenwood, Ark., three sisters Barbara (Dale) Rochefort of Bridgman, Vina Rochefort and Edith (Eddie) Johnson of Watervliet, brother Ronald Wycoff of Coloma and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jerry Robert (Jodi) and Tonya Collins, Maggie (Jason) Robinson, David (Brooklynn), Eric, and James Doerr, Jenny and Latonya Foose, Jessica (Rob) Foster, Melinda (Mike) Andres and Sarah (Terry) Chambers, 21 great grandchildren, her little man Joel, three great great grandchildren and her loving doctor Sherryl O'Donnel.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons Jerry Wayne Collins and James Conner Griffin Jr., her sister Grace Martin and brothers Robert Smith and James West.
