Earl "Fred" Grant Jr., 83 of Watervliet passed away on January 17, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Fred was born November 15, 1942 in South Haven to Earl and Mary (Becht) Grant. He was an Army Veteran and was employed by the IBEW Local 153 for 34 years, retiring in 2002. Fred was a member of several clubs including Tin Lizzie Travelers, Model T Ford Club International, Model T Ford Club of America, Southwestern Michigan Car Collectors, Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers Club, and Rod Knockers. In his early years, Fred was also a member of the Watervliet Jaycees.

Fred is survived by his wife Barbara, whom he married June 26, 1965; children Debbie (Darrell) Keltner of Rutherford, Tenn. and Brian (Laura) Grant of Benton Harbor; sisters Karol (John) Krohne of Dowagiac and Donna Roda of St. Joseph. Also surviving are grandchildren Rachel (Nick), Bobby (Nicole), Will (Emily), MacKenzie (Nathan), Justin and Ryan (Jen) and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother in law Sam Roda and three nephews Kirk Parrigin, John Wright and Johnny Krohne.
