Edmund E. Barton, 74, of Watervliet, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 6, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10 at Watervliet Free Methodist Church in Watervliet. Burial with military honors will follow at Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.  Memorial donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Grace Christian School, Watervliet Free Methodist Church or the North Berrien Military Rites Team. Ed was born April 13, 1944 in Watervliet to Walter and Lona (Harget) Collins-Barton.  He retired from Whirlpool in 2001 after 38 years.  Ed loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, volunteering for various activities, camping, hunting, long weekend drives and going to Cracker Barrel.

He is survived by his wife Debera whom he married December 27, 1968; their four children Chris Barton of Fennville, Staci  (Scott) Kosachuk of St. Joseph,  Aaron (April) Barton of Decatur, and Autumn (Ken) Price of Watervliet; three siblings C.L. Collins, Bob Barton and Betty Moore; sister-in-law Rhonda (Jeff) Hensley, father-in-law Albert Roberson and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Camaron, Brandyn, Rachel, Trevor, Noah, Kaylie, Isaac, Olivia, Mason and Laney.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, four brothers and one sister.
