Ellis Wayne Allen, 78, of Coloma passed away Friday, January 22, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 25 with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial with Military Rites will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Wayne was born January 17, 1938 in Piggot, Arkansas to Frank and Dessie Allen. Following high school he served his country in the U.S. Marines. After his discharge Wayne married Barbara on April 14, 1958, his wife of almost 58 years. Wayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just sitting on his porch watching the animals. His real passion was on the baseball field and Wayne coached Little League for a number of years. He retired from Bendix Corporation in 1995. Wayne was also a member of the Benton Harbor Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Lindahl of Portage and Laura (Eric) Anderson of Waynesville, Ohio; his son Jeff (Erica) Allen of Coloma; eight grandchildren, Taylor and Schyler Lindahl, Cameron and Ryleigh Anderson, and Jeffery, Kelsey, Jaxon and Nina Allen; and his good friend Bill Johnson.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his best friend and brother Floyd Allen and his sister Onida Hubble.
