Flossie Mitchell, 97, of Watervliet, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service in celebration of Flossie's life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18 at New Day Church, 416 Pleasant St., Watervliet with Pastor Scott Saylor officiating. Flossie was born January 20, 1920 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to John and Susan (Trammell) Goggins.  Flossie had a great love for her flowers, squirrels, birds and the family dog "Little Man". She never met a stranger and enjoyed the company of others. Flossie was loved dearly by her family and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter LaVern (Bob) Faulkner, son Floyd (Bev) Barnes, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son A.J. Barnes, daughter Stella Jonason, brother John Goggins and her sister Evelyn Gunter.
