Geneva Garland, 90, of Watervliet passed away on May 1, 2024 in Munster, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Geneva was born January 28, 1934 in Pocahontas, Ark. to Jim and Bertha (Webster) Barnett. Geneva was a proud mother and house wife and also enjoyed working on and off at VM Corporation in Benton Harbor and Assembly Components in Coloma. In 1950, Geneva met and married Leslie after dating for three months. Her and Leslie were married for 60 years, up until his passing in 2010. Most recently, Geneva enjoyed spending time with her friends going to McDonald's and shopping around at garage sales and estate sales, looking for a good bargain or antiques.

Geneva is survived by her children Leslie R. Garland, Terry A. Garland, Phillip A. Garland and Sheila D. (Bill) Nanny. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Leslie, her grandson Scott Garland and eight siblings.
