Gerhard Peppel, 80 of Coloma passed away on January 4, 2026 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Gerhard was born on June 5, 1945 to Friedrich and Rosalie Peppel in Wulka, Poland. He retired from Bosch, formerly Bendix, after over 30 years of service. Gerhard had a love for traveling, specifically driving through each state that he visited. He wasn't quite able to make it to all 50 states. Gerhard also enjoyed wood working. Building bird houses and bird feeders being a favorite.

Gerhard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy; brother Hubert (Linda) Peppel; sisters Helene (Ed) Stadelmayer and Dr. Lydia Von Imm and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Laurent Peppel and Horst Peppel and infant brothers Reinhold Peppel and Hubert Peppel.
