Herta Gisela Schmileke, 83, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Woodland Terrace in Coloma.

Herta was born to Hulda and Alfred Schmileke in Osterburg, Germany on September 29, 1939.She worked at Wollin Products for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed art, knitting and raising her chickens.

Herta is survived by her two sisters, Helga (Don) Kublick of Benton Harbor and Christel (Ewald) Guse of Stevensville and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
