Imogene M. Boyd, 83, of Hartford passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Services celebrating her life will be held 1:00 P.M. at Hartford Bible Church where the family will receive friends beginning on hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

Imogene was born March 5, 1941 in Hardy, Arkansas to Jewel and Bernice (Garner) Mann.  She was loving, caring and generous and was the family's "Queen Bee".  She loved to cook, especially on holidays when she would cook for 40 people or more.  She also loved her flowers, music, singing and shopping.  Imogene was a very social person that made friends wherever she went.  To all of her grandchildren she was known as Ma (pronounced Maw) as well as to many people who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children; Judy Michael, Debra (Terry) DeFord, Melinda (Michael) Kimp, Howard Glenn Owens all of Hartford, Brian (Marlene) Boyd of Walker, MI and Brett Boyd of Mishawaka, IN.  Also surviving are her siblings; Charles Garner of Evans, GA, Jewell (Shirley) Mann of Hartford, Shirley (Phil) Lane of Lawton, Peggy Mann of Hartford and 7 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceding in her death was the love of her life, Grover Boyd for 25 years 1998-2022.  Her first husband, Robert Howard Owens for 35 years 1956-1991.  Her brothers Buford 'Rocky' Mann, Bill Mann, Bobby Mann, Philip Mann, Larry Mann, Gary Mann, and a son-in-law Danny Michael.
