Obituary

Jerry Lynn Riedner, 66, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully January 9, 2017 at Lakeland Hospital with his closest friends by his side.

Jerry was born July 13, 1950 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was the son of the late Erwin and Betty Riedner. Jerry graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1968 and then served his country in the United States Navy receiving a National Defense Service Medal. After the Navy Jerry was employed at Whirlpool Corporation, Yeske's Appliances, and ran his own appliance repair business.

Jerry battled kidney disease for the last 5 years with courage and strength and was an inspiration to those closest to him. He was an avid gun collector and also loved remote control cars, boats and planes. He loved to go fishing and visit flea markets and was a big Donald Trump supporter. He also loved his pets and close friends who meant the world to him. Jerry was a gentle, kind person with a sweet and loving heart who was always thinking of others even when he himself was hurting. He was truly a wonderful person and a blessing to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Jerry is survived by a brother Jeff Riedner of Gratiot County, MI; his caregiver and the person he thought of as a daughter, Kim (Lee) Myers; his best friend Scott Siegert; longtime friends Lonna and John Salnoske, aunts, uncles and his beloved cat Angel.

As to Jerry's wishes a private service was held at an earlier date and cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
