Jerry D. Stevens, 77, of Coloma, passed away Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place Friday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations in Jerry's memory may be made to Lake Michigan Beach Community Church. Jerry was born January 31, 1941 in Truman, Arkansas to Virgil and Jessie Stevens. His family moved to SW Michigan when he was a young boy. Jerry was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated Stevens Asphalt and Sealing. He enjoyed cooking and was famous among his friends and family for his secret corn bread recipe. His favorite times though were those he spent with his family and grandchildren and Jerry never missed any of his grandkids sporting events.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Floreen; eight children including Rick (Nancy) Stevens, Connie Wilson, David (Julie) Stevens, Debbie (Mike) Wilson, Bo (Marilyn) Simmons, Randy (Deb) Simmons, David (Linda) Simmons and Don (Cindy) Simmons; his sister Juanita (Wayne) Coleman, 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Garry Stevens and his son-in-law James Wilson.
