Jimmy D. Guess, 64, of Coloma, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.

Memorial donations in Jimmy's honor may be made to Hospice at Home in St. Joseph.

Jimmy was born in Salem, KY on March 12, 1952. His parents, Carl and Mary Guess, moved the family to southwest Michigan when Jimmy was 3 years old. He and his wife Vera were married on June 18, 1969 and they raised their family of three sons in the Coloma area. Jimmy was employed with Sparkle Car Care Center and retired after 25 years there. When his grandchildren were younger he enjoyed going to watch them compete in their school sporting events. He also loved to golf and enjoyed mowing his lawn.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Vera, his sons, Jimmy (Sherri) Guess,  Michael Guess and Brian Guess, all of Coloma; a brother Marvin (Sue) Guess of Dowagiac;  his sister Barb (Charles) Millsap of Decatur; four grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Cory and Dylan; and four great grandchildren.
