Jo Ann Ramirez, 77 of Coloma, passed away peacefully at Hanson House in Stevensville, Michigan on December 26, 2021, following complications from renal failure due to multiple myeloma.

Jo Ann was born on March 22 ^nd , 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Shelby and Erica Thoney.  She attended Fenger High School followed by beauty school and IBM Key Punch Operator training.

In 2001 Jo Ann moved to Michigan living for several years in Benton Harbor before moving to live with her sister Erica in Coloma. Jo Ann enjoyed shopping, reading, coloring, crocheting, and listening to podcasts, especially true crime.  She was also extremely talented at both cooking and baking.

She is survived by her three daughters: Suzanne Marie, JoAnna Lynn, and Kathleen Ann, five grandchildren: Lisa, Jessica, Emma, Hayley, and Brenden and one great grandchild, Julian. She was the dear sister to Sarah Wahlberg, Erica Hensel, Shirley Frye (deceased) and June Weckler, a fond Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a cousin to Bonnie Madderom and Johann Alm. She also leaves behind her beloved pet cat, Buddy.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jo Ann's life will take place in the Spring.
