Joan H. Knott, 90, of Coloma, passed away on May 15, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where viewing will begin one hour prior to the services. Joan was born December 8, 1927 in Albion, Mich. to Carlton and Helen (Lambrecht) Young.  She graduated from the University of Michigan with her Masters in Library Science and received her undergrad degree in art from Albion College. For many years, Joan was the head of the children's departments at both the Jackson and Albion public libraries. Joan, who is formerly of Jackson, was the author of three children's books, and she enjoyed painting, drawing, bead work, sketching and doing other artwork.

Joan is survived by her husband John whom she married June 16, 1956 and two children Ken Knott of Coloma and Marie Hirzel of Watervliet.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
