Joanne P. Bruff, 81 of Coloma passed away Wednesday, Aug 3 at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Services celebrating her life will be 1 pm Wednesday, Aug 10 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Lakeshore-Hagar Cemetery in Benton Harbor.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

Joanne was born January 4, 1935 in Benton Harbor to Emil and Aleatha (Bayman) Herman.  She graduated in 1953 from Benton Harbor High School.  Over the years  Joanne had worked for Michigan Bell, Coloma Community Schools in the cafeteria, Tri County Head Start, Roger's Vineland Foods, Rooster's Party Store, and The Village Market.

In her younger years Joanne enjoyed painting and artwork, going to Lake Michigan, gardening, playing cards, bingo and picnicking with family and friends.  She was a very good cook and liked canning foods from her garden.  She became quite good at bowling and loved going to the casinos after her husband passed away.

Survivors include a daughter Janet (Randy) Kline, two sons Joseph and Gerald Bruff Jr; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.  Also surviving are  two brothers Jack (Marge) Herman and Charles (Mary Lou) Herman, one sister Corrine (Jan) Edgin and 13 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Joanne was preceded in death by husband Gerald Bruff, Sr. and a daughter Julie (Bruff) Cole.
