Joe W. Hutchins, 80, of Coloma, passed away on May 31, 2018 at Lakeland Hospital in Watervliet.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Coloma Cemetery. Joe was born April 24, 1938 in Harrisburg, Ark. and was raised by his mother Marie Jordan and father Charles Dillon.  Joe was part of the United States Army serving over in Korea. Following his service, he was employed by the Watervliet Paper Mill for 38 years and also worked for Bosch for five years.  Joe was well known for his sense of humor and he loved golfing. He was a loving man who cared so much for his children and grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife Betty whom he married October 11, 1958; two son's Jeff (Shanna) Hutchins and David (Melody) Hutchins both of Hartford; one sister Wanda Sue (Jim) Ackerman; five grandchildren Jeffrey, Justin, Jacob, Nathan (Alicia) and Matthew and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Hutchins.
