John Randal Watkins, Jr., 55 of Benton Harbor, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, January 23 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Lakeshore Hagar Cemetery in Hagar Township.  Donations in memory of John may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

John was born May 19, 1961 in Benton Harbor to John Randal and Betty Jean (Howard) Watkins.  He attended Coloma High School.  He is also a veteran of the Navy which offered him the opportunity to see many places and do many things most people never get a chance to do.  John was a devout Christian, attending New Freedom Church in Coloma.  In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and just taking what life had to offer, but most of all he loved to cook pit style barbeque.

John is survived by his daughter Sasha (Juan Carlos) Bermudez of North Chesterfield, Va.; his sister, Ronda Watkins of Coloma and two grandchildren, Claudya and Alejandro "Danny" Bermudez.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
