Joshua Lee McAndrew, 47, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him beyond words and countless memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.
Josh was born on December 31, 1978, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Ricky and Sondra (Vondran) McAndrew.
Josh leaves behind his loving fiancée, Jamie Nelson; his children, Liam McAndrew, Collin McAndrew, Sophia McAndrew, Ary Nelson, and Zane Nelson; his parents, Ricky and Sondra McAndrew; and his brother, Caleb (Cassandra Westover) McAndrew.
Throughout his life, Josh worked many different jobs, most recently as a heavy equipment operator. He was a hardworking man who knew how to enjoy life and, more than anything, treasured the time he spent with those he loved.
Josh loved his family fiercely and was especially proud of his children. He was their biggest supporter and could often be found cheering them on from the sidelines. Whether it was offering encouragement, sharing a laugh, or wrapping someone in one of his unforgettable hugs, Josh had a way of making the people around him feel loved.
Josh had a larger-than-life personality, a contagious smile, and a deep belly laugh that could fill an entire room. He loved big, laughed hard, and had a way of bringing joy to even the simplest moments. Those who knew him will remember not only the sound of his laughter, but also the warmth of his presence and the love he gave so freely.
While his passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, the love Josh shared will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered in every shared story, every familiar laugh, and every memory held close.
Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, October 17 at New Freedom Church in Coloma, Michigan, for visitation at 12:00 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Josh’s life at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow in the church hall, where family and friends are invited to continue sharing memories and celebrating his life.
Funeral and cremation services have been entrusted to Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
