Joy T. Smith, 72, of Grand Junction, passed away on December 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. Joy was born February 7, 1949 in Benton Harbor to Ectyl and Billie (Green) Simpson.   She worked most recently at the Shell gas station in Hartford and Catherine's clothing store in Benton Harbor. Joy enjoyed craft work, gardening, sewing, camping, yard sales and thrifting, especially on Facebook Marketplace, and cooking. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her kids.

Joy is survived by her husband Rondal, whom she married February 9, 1970; children David (Anna) Smith, Donald Smith, Jamie (Chrissy) Smith, Christopher Riley, Vanessa (Ricky) Peek, Camryn Smith and Natalie Smith; step children Robert (Angela) Smith and Rondal Wayne (Ruth) Smith and siblings Patsy (John) Scott, Nancy Elston and Donny Simpson. Also surviving are her grandchildren Caleb (Tayler), Lindsay, Kristen and Dylan; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Jamie Smith, great grandson Hudson "Huddy" Smith and her brother David Simpson.
