Juanita Anastasia (Dziubinski, Hogmire, Smolinski) Ranger departed this world on October 25, 2023 under hospice care at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Born in Chicago, IL on September 15, 1935, she was the daughter of Edwin S. Dziubinski and Jean (Wienckowski, Dziubinski) Kisielewski. As a young girl, she moved with her parents to South Haven, MI for a short time, then to a farm outside Grand Junction, MI. For the remainder of her life, she lived at various locations in the southwest part of the state. While she spent most of her adulthood as a homemaker, she also worked for local businesses and eventually founded Country Accents, which she owned and operated with her husband Bruce. Her creations were sold at craft shows throughout the region--and by phone order and direct sales from her home.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin E. Dziubinski; son, Timothy Hogmire; and two sons-in-law, Edward Hillman and Donald Bodtke.

She is survived by Bruce Ranger, husband for 40 years; sons, Henry (Pam) and Dan (Bobbie Levine) Hogmire; daughters, Chris (Hogmire) Bodtke, Jenny (Hogmire) Zizkovsky, and Rebecca (Hogmire) Hillman; step-daughters, Kim (Amy) Ranger, Jill (Jim) Jacobson, and Sara (Tapan Patni) Ranger; and five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two nephews, and one niece.

The family will receive visitors at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, MI on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
