A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place as per Linda's wishes. Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma is handling the arrangements. Linda was born on June 27, 1944 in Batesville, Ark. Shortly thereafter, her parents, Archie and Mildred Bishop, moved the family to southwestern Michigan. Linda graduated from Lakeshore High School and attended Lake Michigan College.

She married Jerry Cummings in August of 1977. Linda originally worked at Kaywood for 26 years. After they closed in 1998, she went to work as the Human Resource Manager at Child and Family Services of Southwestern Michigan until retiring in 2006. During that time she also worked a part time job at Big Lots. Linda was a very loving mother and wife and was also involved with Jerry in his racing.

Linda is survived by her husband Jerry; two sons, Phillip (Cindy) Sirk of Stevensville and Jeff (Mary) Cummings of Coloma; her sister Darlene Grubb of Berrien Springs and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Larry Bishop;  and two sisters, Jean Gunn and Brenda Lambrecht.
