Lois J. Lowell, 75, of Benton Harbor, passed away on June 18, 2023 at Borgess Place in Kalamazoo.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27 at Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lois's memory may be made to the children's ministry at Midway Baptist Church. Lois was born April 20, 1948 in Holland to Fred and Catherine (Harthorn) Kleinheksel.   She has previously worked as an office aide for Coloma Community Schools and also with Freisen Photography. Lois was very active and dedicated to Midway Baptist Church where she was involved for over 50 years, more recently with the children's ministry and helping out in the kitchen and with hospitality. Lois most enjoyed her granddaughters and flower gardening.

Lois is survived by her husband Dennis, whom she married August 16, 1969; her children Ben (Kylee) Lowell of Watervliet and Cindy (Ken) Brown of Paw Paw; siblings Richard (Donna) Kleinheksel, Carol (Mike) Bonner, Jim Kleinheksel, Tim (Carla) Kleinheksel and Kathy (Mike) Lorden; her granddaughters Morgan, Marissa and Miranda Lowell, her two step granddaughters, Sami Brown, and Sara (Joe) Kavanaugh along with their two children Maxwell and Nathan Kavanaugh.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
