Loretta Jean Bartalone, 92, of Benton Harbor passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Caretel Inns of St Joseph.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 7 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link at www.duffieldpastrick.com .

Loretta was born April 17, 1930 in Hartford, Mich. To Chancey and Frances Hammond.  She had been employed at VM Corporation in Benton Harbor for five years, was a beautician in this area for over 20 years, and retired in 1986 from Heath Corporation after 10 years of service.  Loretta truly enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, and for 50 years, making sure her husband was taken care of.

Survivors include two sons; Anthony (Valerie) Bartalone of East Lansing, George Michael Bartalone of St. Joseph, two daughters; Maria (David) Kelley of Riverside, Mich., and Pamela (Steve) Schadler of Benton Harbor.  Also surviving is a brother Chancey Hammond of Yuma, AZ; sister Theresa Wood of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren; Jason (Sarah) Kelley, Brianne (Joshua) Schmidke, Amber (Chris) Horton, Janna (Shaun) Bitterle, Brooke (Keith) Busick; and 13 great grandchildren; Kobe Hunter, Noah, Eli, Ava, and Lila Kelley, Nate and Marisa Horton, Andrew, Jacob, and Matthew Bitterle, and Avry, Flynn, and Blake Schmidke.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband George in 2003, a daughter Debra in 1967, and a sister Bonnie Hammond.
