Margaret J. Bennett, age 83, of Benton Harbor MI passed away peacefully at home April 13, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on March 28, 1942, in Raleigh County, West Virgina, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Gladys M. Bragg.

Margaret was the proud and loving mother of seven children; a devoted family woman whose strength and warmth were the heart of the family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially time spent gathered around the table working on puzzles with family and always on the lookout for a good garage sale.

Despite her long term challenges with rheumatoid arthritis, she faced life with unwavering strength and quiet courage, never asking for much, always giving her all and touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her children, David Bennett, Debbie Rushing & Fiancé Mike Callendar, Linda (Wayne) Scott, Kathy (Alan) Helbling, Lonnie (Kari) Bennett, and Loretta (Tony) Jacobs.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Margie Richmond of Freezeland Mountain, WV, Annie Sanchez of Akron, OH and her beloved Chihuahua Lulu.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband (Roy) of 53 years, her parents, a son Kenneth, brothers Everett and Johnny, and sisters May, Betty, and Hattie.

A viewing and time of sharing with the family will begin at 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 19, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Bainbridge Township.  In honor of Margaret donations can be made in lieu of flowers to The River church in Watervliet.
