Mary Jo Snyder, 84 of Watervliet passed away March 1st at her home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8th at Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet where family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donation's in Mary Jo's memory may be made to the church or Centrica Care Navigators. Mary Jo was born in Hackleburg, Ala. on June 8, 1939. Her family moved to Michigan where she went to Benton Harbor Schools. She met the love of her life, Era Snyder, roller skating and they were married on June 30, 1957. Mary Jo worked as the secretary at Midway Baptist Church for 28 years, serving with several pastors. She loved her job and being able to serve the congregation in several ways.

Mary Jo's greatest love was her family who she leaves behind to cherish her memory, including her husband, Era Snyder; her children, Era "Bud" and Marg Snyder, Ron and Shawn Snyder, Kathy and Terry Litaker; her grandchildren, Nicolas and Laura Snyder, Jamie and Matthew McClure, Megan and Chad Denning, Samantha Litaker, Scott Snyder, Alex Litaker and Libby Grace, Jaclyn and Evan Gillenwater and Rebecca Snyder; her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Jenna, Harper, Mateo, Isabelle, Alejandra, Charlie, Richard "Bub", Theo, Alivia and Hunter; her sister, Nadean and Donald Goodrum; her brother, Roger and Judie Berry; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Lelon Berry; and her sister, Fayrene and Jay Woolford.

Mary Jo Snyder is now resting in her Lord and Savior's arms.
