Martha Jean (Clark) Merrill, 70, of Benton Harbor, passed away unexpectedly on August 9,2025 in Grand Rapids.

Cremation has taken place and no local services are planned at this time.

Martha was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on August 13, 1954 to Robert and Elaine Clark. She liked crafting and participating at craft shows. Martha also enjoyed traveling and attending car and truck shows. She participated with Blue Star Mothers for several years, due to her son being a member of the military. Martha also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Martha is survived by her three children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Clark of Edwardsburg, Jenny (Alex) Dudley of Dowagiac, and Jessica Clark of Kalamazoo; three brothers, Michael (Cindy) Clark, Mark Clark, and Matthew Clark, all of Benton Harbor; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; her nephew and niece; and her life partner Alden Brinningstaull of Benton Harbor.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elaine and her sister Karen Clark.
