Martin V. Dawson, 76, of Benton Harbor, passed away on September 3, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Martin was born December 18, 1941 in Benton Harbor to Walter and Jimmie Ruth (White) Dawson.  He retired from Whirlpool after over 35 years of service.  Martin was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with shooting skeet and trap.  He especially enjoyed spending time at his second home trout fishing in the UP.

Martin is survived by his wife Bonnie whom he married in 1961, his sons David and Jeff Dawson both of Benton Harbor and his daughter Kathy (Dana) Rose of Coloma. Also surviving is his sister Valerie (Denny) Soulard, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his best friend Manny.

He is preceded by his father Walter, mother Jimmie (Elmer) Johnson and his brother Michael Johnson.
