As the sun starts a new day so our love begins a new life.

Marvin E. Hainer, 97 of Coloma transitioned to final rest on August 19, 2021 at Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac. Marv died as a result of COVID-19 pneumonia, he was fully vaccinated.

Cremation has taken place. Interment services and burial of ashes will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 11, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Port Huron, Mich. Memorials in Marv's memory may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service or the charity of your choice.

Marv was born June 11, 1924 in St. Clair, Mich to George and Frances (Baldwin) Hainer. He served in the United States Army Air Force during the WWII era. He graduated from Emmanuel College, now Andrews University and was employed by Anthony Oil, Saluto Foods and eventually retiring from General Mills. He married the love of his life Sharon in 1975 and they enjoyed 45 years together. Marv was a former member of Berrien Hills Country Club and Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club. He was an avid golfer, downhill skier, loyal University of Michigan football fan and a daily listener of Andrews University Waus Radio. When Marv could no longer walk the golf course (he always insisted on walking, no carts!) he thoroughly enjoyed TV golf and you could hear him quietly telling the pros why they were missing their puts!

Marv is survived by his wife Sharon of Coloma; and her loving family, daughter Vicki Miller of Traverse City; two grandchildren Shelby (Sean) Murphy of Oregon and Benjamin Miller of Grand Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law Beth and Morris Lowry of Keene, Texas.
