Mary Ann Gelder, 88, of Benton Harbor passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Spectrum Heath, Lakeland in St Joseph.

Mary Ann was born September 5, 1930 in Benton Harbor to Peter and Mary (Kyhos) Bley.  She graduated from St. John's High School and was a member of SS John and Bernard Parish and the North Berrien Senior Center.

She is survived by five children; Barbara Gelder, Carleen (Francis) Celmer, Bruce (Rene') Gelder, Joseph (Diane) Gelder, and Jennifer (John) Kickles; six grandchildren, Cecily (Denis) Shubin, Amanda Gelder, Mathew (Christina) Gelder, Marc Gelder, Daniel ( Anna) Gelder, Mary Gelder; a step-granddaughter Kaye (Mason) Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Anya, Sofia, Roman, Alexander, Naomi, Blaise, Nathan, Reese; three step great grandchildren, Cooper, Fischer, and Trinity; and one sister Margaret Haldy.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Louis Jonas Gelder, daughter Mary Hope Gelder, and grandson Sean Celmer.
