Michael E. Schneider, 68 of St. Joseph passed away October 12, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Michael was born October 29, 1955 in Benton Harbor to Pete and Joyce (Bohle) Schneider. Growing up in Stevensville, Michael graduated from Lakeshore, Class of 1974. He retired from Wolverine Metal Stamping and was a guy who could fix anything. Michael was a Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and sharing his harvest with others. In 1969 he won the Soap Box Derby held in Muskegon and went on to race in Akron, Ohio. Michael loved his country and was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post 568, which donations can be made.

Michael is survived by his step mother Jean Schneider; siblings Ken (Jessie) Schneider, Marcia Pond, Linda (John) Yeske and Julie (Terry Yircutt) Smith. He was Uncle Mike to eight nephews, two nieces and their children.

Michael had a very special friend Terry Knight and enjoyed his friendship with all of his Bar Buddies.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Pete Schneider and Joyce and Jack Yeske.
