Mildred Marie Sisson, 88, of Benton Harbor, Michigan went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2021 at West Woods of Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at noon on Saturday, August 14 ^th at her burial site in North Shore Memory Gardens, Hagar Shores, Michigan.

Mildred was born in 1933 to Hershel and Ellen West in Arkansas. She was a long time employee of Muirs Drugstore/Rite Aid and was a devoted caregiver to her parents. Her favorite pastimes were playing music with her family and friends and hosting get togethers. Mildred was a wonderful cook and everyone who knew her loved her food. She married Verlin Sisson and together raised five beautiful daughters.  Verlin and Mildred shared a long life together playing music and running a successful car sales business. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Linda Kessman; sisters Ruby Huff, Bernice West, Clara West, Wilma Gardner; her brother Sherman (Almina) West and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Verlin Sisson; daughter Mary (Lannie) Pruiett of South Carolina; daughter Peggy Jenette (Frank) Prout of Tennessee; daughter Martha (Steve) Thompson of Georgia and step-daughter Robyn (Dennis) Stowe.
